Service Engineer Job Description:
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.
• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and servicing of heavy equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedule and technical manuals.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults in equipment.
• Coordinate with customers for breakdown support and emergency repairs.
• Ensure proper documentation of service visits, including service reports, checklists, and feedback.
• Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and company assets in good condition.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and operators on proper machine usage and upkeep.
• Liaise with the spare parts team to ensure timely availability of parts.
• Support product improvement by reporting recurring issues and failures to the engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during all service activities |
| Job Skills: |
Qualifications and Key Skills:
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
2–5 years of hands-on experience in servicing heavy construction or earth moving machinery.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, service manuals, and wiring schematics.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software |
