Key Responsibilities
1. Transport Operations
• Plan and monitor daily vehicle movement, routes, and schedules.
• Supervise loading and unloading of goods to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Track vehicle utilization and ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
• Coordinate with drivers and fleet staff for smooth execution of trips.
• Experience in vehicle sourcing, fleet hiring, and vendor management.
2. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with transport rules, RTO norms, permits, and documentation.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, fitness certificates, and insurance validity.
• Enforce safety standards for vehicles, drivers, and goods in transit.
• Maintain records of accidents, delays, and deviations, and report to management.
3. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain trip sheets, logbooks, and daily transport records.
• Verify freight bills, trip expenses, fuel usage, and driver allowances.
• Prepare MIS reports on vehicle movement, delays, and cost efficiency.
4. Coordination & Customer Service
• Act as a point of contact for customers regarding transport-related queries.
• Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams.
• Handle issues such as delays, route changes, breakdowns, or emergencies.
• Ensure proper communication between drivers, clients, and management.
5. Staff Supervision
• Supervise and guide drivers, helpers, and ground transport staff.
• Allocate duties and shifts effectively to optimize resources.
• Provide training and ensure discipline among fleet staff.
